FMCSA Hours of Service Rules for Interstate Drivers

The booklet outlines who must comply with the HOS regulations, defines the 14 hour, 11 hour, 60/70 hour rules, and the 34 hour restart rule.  In addition, the booklet discusses what is considered being “on-duty” and “off-duty.”  Exceptions to the rules are also covered by the FMCSA Hours of Service booklet and provides an example of a completed log book.

The FMCSA’s Hours of Service Rules for Interstate Drivers is a very helpful book for drivers and carriers learning about the HOS rules and regulations.
